Amanda & Sherri own and operate Kent Smith Photography, and are a family-first, mother-daughter team. Outspoken, perfectionist types, they are each skilled in their own areas and bring unique talents to the studio. Each portrait experience is memorable, filled with laughter and beautiful imagery – and you too will become part of the Kent Smith family.

Meet Sherri – Owner & President
As a client for several years, I fell in love with the portrait art from the very beginning. I invested in several family and senior portraits over the years, and they have truly turned my house into a home. There is just something special about having portraits of the people that you love on the walls in your home. I appreciate them more with each passing year – especially now that my children are grown and have left the nest.
After working for Kent for many years, he approached Amanda and I about taking over Kent Smith Photography. He was ready to retire, and knew Amanda had the talent to continue the Kent Smith legacy, and I knew the business well. Amanda and I decided that we would love to do this if we were in it together – and promised each other that we would always put our family first.
We have given world-class portraiture a new meaning, and are always working hard to be the absolute best for our clients. Having been a client myself, I know what it feels like. For moms especially, we’re usually not in the family photos – we are the ones taking them, we’re trying to lose a few pounds, or find a better outfit. None of that matters to our families.
One day, it will be important for them to look back and find us, and they won’t be able to.

My daughter – our Portrait Artist, Amanda, is an expert at posing and lighting. She knows how to flatter you in a way that you will love. You will look and feel more beautiful than you ever imagined possible. That’s a promise.
Meet Amanda – Vice President & Portrait Artist
My style of portraiture is vibrant, personal, and timeless.
I met Kent and Sarah when I was in high school, and they photographed my senior portraits.
It was while I was in college that I started chasing this dream – to become a world-class, Kent Smith Portrait Artist. I knew it would take intense training, but if you know anything about my mom and I, it’s that we stop at nothing for what we believe in.
So began the training – I flew all over the country training with the best artists in the world. I am now nationally recognized for my own work, and I have the greatest mentors in the world to thank for that.
My family is the most important thing in my life – and I understand how different and unique each individual is, as well as how different your family is from mine. I spend time getting to know your family – the quirks, the personalities and the individuality of each person. I capture genuine images of your family interacting together, loving each other… so that when you have your finished portrait art in your home, you look at it and smile – knowing that it perfectly describes your family dynamic.
