    We use our clients in our studio marketing which includes everything from our social media to displays, website, photography exhibitions and competitions. We especially love to post your amazing images on our social media to show them off! Please list the social media you use and your user IDs. If you are not already following us we have two IG: kentsmith and noircollection_ksp and you can find us on Facebook at Kent Smith Photography and request to be in our Kent Smith Photography VIP group. If you prefer not to be used in our marketing please state that below.
  • Rescheduling Sessions:

    One of the amazing things about our studio is that we are small and give our clients a custom experience like no other. We have one photographer and your session retainer fee reserves our time just for you. These retainers are not refundable, so if you find that you can’t make a session at the scheduled time, please reschedule at least 7 days prior to the session and 100% of your session fee will be applied to your account. If rescheduled within the 7 day window of your session but before your session day, 50% of your session retainer will be credited to your account. If you don’t show up on the day of your session, you will forfeit the entire session fee. Please notify us by email at sdavis@kentsmith.com outside of business hours or call the studio directly during normal business hours. Our normal business days are Monday through Thursday, 10am to 6pm.

    If you are using an auction or special certificate for your session, the same guidelines outlined above will apply to your reservation fee for rescheduling purposes.

    Weekends are the time we reserve to be with our own families, but we do occasionally schedule on weekends because we recognize that those days can be more convenient. If you need a weekend time we are happy to accommodate you, please talk with us, occasionally additional charges will apply.

    We know sometimes last minute changes are unavoidable, so we appreciate you understanding that we are a business and must operate efficiently. Please ask if you have any questions!
  • Order Appointments:

    All order appointments are scheduled within 10 days of your session. If you are unable to be back at our studio within that time frame, please wait and schedule your session at a more appropriate time for you. The initial screening & order appointment is complimentary. It is a two hour appointment and we will help guide you through the decision making process. We have a worksheet for you to complete along with additional homework that will help you prepare for this appointment. If you aren’t able to make your order decisions that day, additional appointments are available for $75. Unordered images are kept 30 days beyond the session date so all orders must be placed within 30 days of the session.

    We understand that occasionally appointments need to be scheduled outside of normal business hours for convenience. Evenings after 6pm and weekend appointments are available upon request at a rate of $50 per appointment and will follow the same guidelines as rescheduling sessions.
  • WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Your session retainer includes your time with our photographer, all image design, and a gallery for you to view in studio with a minimum of 60 images, including black and white. The in-person viewing appointment will be in the Kent Smith gallery/screening room and your order will be placed that day. Please invite whoever you would like to be there, we have found that grandparents LOVE to come, but we discourage bringing a boyfriend or girlfriend. Our experience has been that seniors tend not to be as relaxed or focused when they are here with them.

    We carry the finest archival quality products available. We handcraft and frame our canvas and fine art prints here in our studio with attention to every detail. Our handcrafted Italian albums, acrylic wall art and gorgeous modern metal art are unrivaled. We will show all of these to you during your order appointment and we have these on display and encourage you to touch and look them while you’re here for your session.

    **Auction certificate winners and all gift certificates must be presented prior to the photography session.
  • GUARANTEE:

  • Our entire staff wants you to have a memorable experience with us and leave with thrilling portraits every time. So much so that we 100% guarantee your happiness with everything we do! If you find that something is not as you expected, please speak with Amanda or Sherri. Our staff spends a lot of time preparing for your session and we want you to be happy. If you have booked a session you aren’t able to use right now, have changed your mind, or need to adjust your order, we are happy to accommodate you and make those changes. Please keep in mind that we do not issue refunds but will keep a credit on your account for you to use at any time in the future. Refer to rescheduling timelines.
  • REFERRALS:

  • We are so proud of the amazing experiences and memories we provide to our clients -- you really are family to us! In appreciation for your raves to your friends and family, we offer referral bonuses. If a friend or family member of yours comes in for a session and portrait order we will give them a complimentary session and $150 credit toward their order. You will receive a $50 Visa card. There is no limit to the number of referrals, but the important thing to remember is that they must give us your name when they schedule their session or write it on this form that they will also receive prior to their session. No documentation is necessary other than that, but we will also give you referral cards when you place your order that you can have on hand.

    Our personal stylist will be in contact with you soon, so if you’re not sure what to wear and could use some suggestions on what to bring with you, she will be happy to help! We do have some things here at the studio that are available to borrow for the day.
